Volunteerism

In the spirit of service to the community, the program is based on the premise that the vitality of a community is related to the commitment of its volunteers. In keeping with this spirit, Leadership Lehigh Valley graduates commit to using their training and skills as volunteer leaders in the community for a minimum of three years. Graduates fulfill their commitment by serving on boards of non-profit organizations.

Attendance Policy

Participants are expected to make every effort to attend all sessions. However, we recognize that an absence may be unavoidable and therefore allow for two absences. Any absence, in either full or part session days, that exceeds two days may cause the student to be disqualified from graduation. Exceptions require the approval of the Leadership Lehigh Valley Board of Directors.

Non-graduating students may, however, continue their attendance at any of the regularly scheduled sessions provided they participate fully in the day's activities. Absence or disqualification from graduation will not be cause for any refund of tuition charges.

Participants are permitted to attend any missed sessions, as scheduled in the following year.
